A Little Planning Is It All Needs For The Best Business Casual Look
Many people can now wear their own clothes to work in the office, often on a Friday. However, for many men, it is a struggle to know what to wear and how to wear it. With a little thought though, it is not difficult.
Where an awful lot of men fall down straight away is by not wearing a jacket. There are many reasons why this is wrong, but far more reasons why wearing one is sensible. The most practical is the handy storage for phones and such that it provides.
A jacket is also wonderful to hide any creases on a top, or slightly too large pants. Getting the right business casual jacket is important though. The tailored look is what is needed, with a pinched waist and longer, slimmer arms creating length, definition and style.
The slim look continues throughout the outfit and onto the pants. The most flattering for men of all shapes and sizes are wool pants, which create a wonderful silhouette. Cut slim, they also draw the eye of the viewer down the leg to the shoes, further creating definition and also height.
The shoes are an important part of the whole look. business casual dress dictates that these should be anything other than black. The best colors are tans and browns, and suede works well too. Anything other than suede needs to be well polished, and scuffs most definitely avoided.
There are no real rules over what top should be worn. Cardigans, sweaters and shirts are all good. Dressing a shirt with either of the other two also work fantastically well together. Once again though, the emphasis should be on a slimmer cut.
Whilst blue's, brown's and gray's remain hot colors, there is no real stress on colors. However, there does need to be thought given to the bag. Matching this to the shoes is sensible, and to ensure the business casual attire is not ruined completely, the briefcase and sports kitbag should be left at home.
